The
constituency of East Antrim stretches along the coastal strip on the
northern side of Belfast Lough and the western side of the North
Channel. It takes in the whole of Larne and Carrickfergus district
councils, and part of Newtownabbey district council.
It is
a constituency which can boast breathtaking scenery and a proud history.
There are many facilities and features in East Antrim which stretch
right the way up the coast road which also has incredible views of the
sea stretching to Scotland.
Within the
constituency there is the University of Ulster campus at Jordanstown,
the historic Carrickfergus castle and the second busiest sea port in the
United Kingdom at Larne, and both Scotland and the capital city are
easily accessible from the area |
