ROSS CONGRATULATES WILSON ON NEW POST
DUP MLA Alastair Ross has congratulated his East Antrim colleague Sammy Wilson
MP on his appointment as Minister for the Environment. Mr Wilson was announced
as a new member of the Northern Ireland Executive at Stormont on Monday
afternoon.
Commenting Mr Ross said,
“Sammy is widely recognised as a hugely talented and hardworking politician who
has dedicated most of his life to public service. It is pleasing that he has now
been rewarded with a Ministerial post.
The previous DUP Ministerial team at Stormont has delivered on many of our
manifesto pledges already, and the new team led by First Minister Peter Robinson
will continue to build upon that good work and utilises all of the talent at the
top of the Party.
As a member of the Environment Committee I look forward to working with my
constituency colleague and know that he will bring forward new policy ideas and
continue the good work started by Arlene Foster.”
The full DUP Ministerial line up is:
First Minister Rt Hon Peter Robinson MP MLA
Junior Minister Rt Hon Jeffrey Donaldson MP MLA
