DUP RESHUFFLE COMMITTEE PLACES

As the new Assembly term commences the DUP has reviewed its personnel on the various Statutory and Standing Committees in Stormont.

It is the job of the Statutory Committees to scrutinise the work of their Departments and ensure that their Ministers are taking the most effective approach in addressing matters.  The Committees should also aid the work of the Minister by offering constructive criticism which can assist in the development of good policy for Northern Ireland.

East Antrim MLA Alastair Ross has left the Employment and Learning Committee and joined the important Regional Development Committee. Alastair remains on the Environment Committee and has been appointed as DUP group leader on the Standards and Privileges Committee.
