October 6, 2008 Ross Promotes Tourism Opportunities in East Antrim Upon securing an adjournment debate promoting tourism in East Antrim, Alastair Ross, MLA for the area, is glad to get the opportunity to champion his constituency. Mr Ross said, ‘I am very glad to put the spotlight on East Antrim and showcase the many opportunities which exist there to develop a tourism strategy for the area, highlighting the natural beauty as well as the many facilities available. East Antrim boasts scenic beauty throughout the constituency with attractions such as Ballygally and Carrickfergus Castle to enjoy. East Antrim already proves to be a popular area with idyllically located hotels and restaurants and what could be described as a booming Ulster-Scots heritage well in place. I have secured this adjournment debate for Tuesday 14th October and I will use the opportunity to champion the area which has the potential to continue its growth into a must-see location on the tourism map.’ last updated: 24/02/2008
